Francis Nicholson Esqr: Governr: &ca: Doe with the advice and Consent of the Councill of State accordingly Give and Grant unto Robert Smelley Thomas Giles Joseph Bridger Lewis Smelley and William Smelley fourteen hundred and twenty acres of Land on the South Side of the Main black water Swamp begining at a Cyprus by the Run of the Said Swamp and Soe runing thence South Seventy Six degrees and a halfe west forty eight pole to a pine on the high Land thence North Seventy eight Degrees west Eighty eight pole to a pine thence North thirty six Degrees West four hundred and forty poles to two black oakes thence North ten [degrees] west Eighty eight pole to a pine thence East four hundred Seventy eight pole to a red oake by the Side of black Creeke thence South East and by South one hundred and fourteen pole to a greate pine thence South twelve Degrees West forty pole to a red oake by the Side of the aforesd.
