To all &ca:  Whereas &ca:  Now Know Yee that I the Said Francis Nicholson 
Esqr: Governr: &ca:  Doe with the advice and Consent of the Councill 
of State accordingly Give and Grant unto George Pearce two 
hundred acres of Land on the South Side of the Main blackwater 
Beginning at a white oake Standing under a hill in the low 
ground of Seacock Swamp and soe running thence North twenty 
degrees west one hundred twenty four pole to a white oake 
thence North forty Degrees West fory pole to a Gum Stand= 
=ing in the Reds  thence South Seventy one West Ninety pole 
to a hiccory on the top of a hill by the Side of Seacock Swamp 
thence South fifty Degrees East one hundred and twenty 
pole  thence South thirty four degrees East one hundred twenty 
= Six pole to a hiccory Neare the greate branch  thence South 
fifty one degrees East fifty pole to a pine  thence South 
fourty four degrees East Eighty pole to a white oake  thence 
South Sixty five degrees East one hundred twenty two pole 
to a red oake  thence North twenty five degrees East forty 
pole to a Gum Standing Standing by the run of Seacock Swamp 
then up the Various Courses of the Said Run to the Mouth 
of a Small branch ans soe up the Said Branch the 
Various Courses of the hill Side to the begining  the Said 
Land being Due unto the Said George Pearce by and for ye: 
transportacon of four persons into this Colony whose names 
are to be in the Records Mentioned under this Patent 
To have and To hold &ca:  To be held &ca:  Yeilding and Paying 
&ca:  Provided &ca:  Given under My hand and the Seale of 
the Colony this 24th: Day of october anno Dom. 1701
