All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Southampton County Virginia USGenWeb Archives Deeds Henry BULLS & wife Nancy, James JOHNSON & wife Mary, & Milly (Mrs. William) RAIFORD to Herod SUMMERELL, deed & receipt, dated & acknowledged 15 Aug 1803 [margin notes] Bulls & others to Summerel This Indenture made this 15.th day of August in the year of our lord Christ one Thousand eight Hundred & three Between Henry [Bulls] and Nancy his wife and James Johnson & Mary his wife & Milly Raiford wife of William Raiford of the County of So.ampton of the one [part] & Herod Summerell of the same parish and County aforesaid of the other part = Witnesseth= that the said Henry Bulls and Nancy his wife James Johnson and Mary his wife and Milly Raiford for and in Consideration of the sum of Twenty five dollars Current money of Virginia to them in hand paid by the said Herod Summerell the receipt whereof they do Hereby acknowledge and hereof from every part or parcel thereof do hereby fully Acquit and discharge the said Herod Summerel and themselves there with to be fully Satifyed Contented and paid have granted bargained Sold Enfeoff'd & Confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien Enfeoff and Confirm to the said Herod Summerel his heirs &C_ forever all the right title Claim or demand of one Certain Tract or parcel of land whereof Tho.s Summerel possessed and willed to the said Herod Summerell lying in the fork of Round Hill & Seacok swamp _ Containing by Estimation Fifty Acres more or less and bounded as followeth Begining at a pine in the pocoson thence by John Urquharts line to a line in round hill to a branch Thence up the said branch to the first to the first station all houses out houses edifices buildings yards gardens orchards ways waterCourses profits.
