Know ye that for divers good causes & Considerac'ons but, more especially for & in Considerac'on of his Importac'on of four persons to dwell within this our Colony of Virginia whose names are Mary Lane, Mary Whiteing, & Elizabeth & Anne Dixon We have Given, Granted & Confirmed and by these presents for us our heirs & Successors do Give, Grant & Confirm unto Edward Boykin of the County of Isle of Wight one certain tract or parcel of Land containing one hundred & ninety acres lieing & being on the south side of the main black water swamp in the said County of Isle of Wight & bounded as followeth, to wit, beginning at a white oak a line tree of his old Land on the west side of a _ pocoson then north twenty one degrees East fifty five pole to a white oak by his edge of the pocoson in the mouth of a branch then north Seventy seven degrees west a hundred & forty one pole to a pine then south eighty degrees west eighty three pole to a hickory then west a hundred & seven pole to a black oak saplin then south twenty one degrees west a hundred pole to a hickory a Line tree of his old Land then by the lines of his old Land south eighty six degrees east a hundred seventy two pole to a dead Gum stump by the edge of a branch & north eighty degrees East a hundred seventy six pole to the begin'ing with all &ca.
