Know ye that for diverse good Causes & Considerac'ons but more especially for & in Considerac'on of the Importac'on of ffour persons to dwell within this our Colony of Virginia whose names are Mary Lane, Mary Whiteing, Eliza. Dixson & Anne Dixson We have Given Granted & Confirmed & by these presents for us our heirs & Successors do Give Grant & Confirm unto Edwd. Boykin of the County of Isle of Wight one certain tract or parcell of land containing one hundred & sixty acres lying & being on the South side of the main black water Swamp in the upper parish of the Sd. County of Isle of Wight & bounded as followeth to wit, beginning at a white oak a Corner tree of Thomas Howell's on the north Side of Seacock Swamp then by his line South Sixty five degrees East ninety Six pole to a pine his Corner tree then north twenty degrees East one hundred & fifty eight pole to a pine then north fourty four degrees East ninety six pole to a pine then north six degrees west fifty six pole to a Small red oak then north fourty three degrees west Eighty two pole to his own old line & so by his lines south eight degrees west one hundred & four pole to a white oak Corner tree thence South fourty four degrees west one hundred & seventy eight pole to a poplar near the mouth of a __ branch issuing into the Seacock & so down the run of the Seacock to the first stac'on; with all &ca.
