Know Ye That for divers good Causes and Consideraç'ons but more especially for and in Consideraç'on of the Sum' of Fifty Five Shillings of good and lawful money for our use paid to our Receiver General of our Revenues in this our Colony and Dominion of Virginia We have given granted and confirmed and by these presents for us our heirs and Successors Do give grant and confirm unto John Drew of Surry County One certain Tract or parcel of Land containing Five hundred and Thirty Acres lying and being on the North Side of the Lightwood Swamp in the County of Isle of Wight and bounded as followeth to wit Begining at a Maple by the Side of the Said Swamp Thence South Sixty Degrees East a hundred and sixty Five pole to a pine by the Side of the Cabbin Branch Then down the various Courses of the run of the Said branch to the Lightwood Swamp aforesaid and up the various Courses of the run of the said Swamp to the begining With all &c. To have hold &c. To be held &c. Yielding and paying &c. provided &c. In Witness &c. Witness our Trusty & Welbeloved Hugh Drysdale Esq.r our Lieut.
