Beverly Randolph Esquire Lieutenant Governor of the Common wealth of Virginia To all to whom these presents Shall come Greeting Know ye that by Virtue and in Consideration of Part of a Land Office Treasury Warrant Number Thirteen Thousand Nine hundred and Ninety Eight Issued the Twenty Seventh day of August one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty two, There is granted by the Said Commonwealth unto Joseph Britt a certain Tract or parcel of Land Containing Thirty two Acres by Survey bearing Date the twentySixth day of October One thousand Seven hundred and eighty four lying and being in the County of Southampton in the Parish of Nottoway and bounded as followeth To wit Beginning at a white oak corner of William Stevens Land thence along his line South [page break] [p.] (628) South Seventeen degrees West Seventy nine Poles to a Pine in William Boykins line Standing on a branch thence up the said branch South Seventy degrees East Twenty Poles South Seventy Eight degrees East Twenty Poles South Twenty three degrees East Eighty four Poles to Matthew Britts New Survey thence along his line North Six degrees East forty Eight Poles to an Old Oak thence North fourteen degrees East thirty four Poles to an Old Oak thence North Sixteen degrees East twenty Poles to a red Oak North Seventy two degrees West forty Poles to a Pine North fifty two degrees West thirty two Poles to an Old Pine thence North three degrees West twenty five Poles to the Beginning, With its Appurtenances To have and to hold the Said Tract or parcel of Land With its Appurtenances to the Said Joseph Britt and his Heirs forever In Witness whereof the said Beverly Randolph Esquire Lieutenant Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto Set his hand and caused the lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be Affixed at Richmond on the twenty eight day of August in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and eighty Seven and of the Commonwealth the Twelfth.
