Know ye that for divers good Causes & - Considerations but more especially for and in Consideration of the Sume of Thirty Five Shillings of good & lawful Money for Our Use paid to Our Receiver General of Our Revenues in this Our Colony & Dominion of Virginia We have given granted & confirmed & by these presents for Us Our Heirs & Successors Do give grant & confirm unto Lewis Bryant of Isle of Wight County One certain Tract or Parcel of Land containing three hundred & forty five Acres lying and being on the North side of Nottoway River in the County aforesaid & bounded as followeth (to Wit) Begining At a Pine by theside of a small branch a corner of William Harris's Land thence North ten Degrees east One hundred & Six pole to a red Oak a Line Tree of Mr. William Gray's Land then North by Gray's Line North East One hundred & nine pole to a pine then North East Sixty Six pole to a pine then South Sixty Degrees East One hundred & twenty one pole to a pine then South Fifteen Degrees East one ~ hundred & one pole to a pine then South Twenty Degrees West One hundred & Forty pole to a pine a Line tree of John Barnes's Land then by Barnes's Line West North West Sixty five pole to a pine & West ninety five pole to a pine then West Fifty five pole to a pine a Line tree of William Harris's Land aforesaid & by Harris's Line North thirty Degrees West Fifty four pole to the begining ~ With all &c.
