     indenture dated 20 Oct 1818, privy exam 22 Oct 1818, 
     proved 21 Dec 1818, entered 18 Jan 1819

This Indenture made this twentieth day of October in 
the year one thousand eight hundred and eighteen. Between Peter Blow and 
Elizabeth his wife of the county of Southampton of the one part and Robert 
Nicholson of the aforesaid county of the other part. 
Witnesseth that the said Peter Blow & Elizabeth his wife for and in 
consideration of the sum of five thousand five hundred dollars current money of 
V:a to them in hand paid by the said Robert Nicholson at or before the ensealing 
or delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Peter Blow and 
Elizabeth his wife do hereby acknowledge & thereof acquit & discharge the said 
Rob:t Nicholson his heirs exe'rs. and adm'ors forever by these presents: He said 
Peter Blow & Elizabeth his wife have granted, bargained, & sold and by these 
presents do give grant, bargain & sell unto the said Robert Nicholson his heirs 
and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land, situate lying and being in 
the aforesaid county Containing by survey eight hundred and sixty acres, be the 
same more or less & bounded as follows_ to wit  Beginning at the head of the gum 
branch bounded by the lands of Thomas Ridley, Mary Jarrell, Sam. Blunt, Edwin 
Reese, Nath.l Simmons, Stith Nicholson and Benj.a Lewis and also the reversion 
and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents  issues & profits thereof & also 
all the estate, right  title  interest  claim & demand of them the said Peter 
Blow & Elizabeth his wife of in and to the said land & premises  with 
appurtenances of in & to every part & parcel thereof To have and to hold the 
said tract or parcel of Land & premises with the appurtenances thereunto 
belonging unto the said Rob:t Nicholson his heirs & assigns forever by these 
presents, that they will forever warrant & defend the title of the said Land . 
In Testimony whereof we have hereunto Set our hands & affixed our seals the day 
and date above written

Justices of the peace in the county aforesaid, do hereby  certify that Elizabeth 
Blow the wife of Peter Blow parties ['to' omitted] a certain deed of conveyance 
of real estate to Robert Nicholson bearing date on the 20,th day of October 1818 
& hereto annexed, personally appearred before us in our county aforesaid, and 
being examined by us privily and apart from her husband & having this deed 
aforesaid fully explained, to her, she the said Elizabeth Blow acknowledged the 
same to be her act and deed & declared that she had willingly Sealed & delivered 
the same and that she wished not to retract it. Given under our hands & seals 
this 22.nd day of October 1818

                    In the Clerk's office the  21.st day of December 1818 

This Indenture was proved by the oaths of Benj. Cobb, W.m B. Goodwyn, Justice 
Ja.s Clanton  the witnesses hereto and together with the certificate therein 
endorsed certifying the acknowledgment and privy examination of Mrs. Elizabeth 
Blow were admitted to record.  And at a court  held for the aforesaid county 
in the 18,th day of January 1819  This Indenture and certificate as aforesaid 
were enterd upon the proceedings of the day
