Witness that the said Maria Crumpler for and in consideration of the Sum of Fifteen dollars to her in hand paid paid by the said Thomas Herring before the ensealing and delivering hereof, the receipt whereof the said Maria Crumpler doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and Sold. and doth by these presents grant bargain and Sell. unto the Said Thomas Herring his heirs and assigns forever her undivided part of a tract. Containing fifty two acres be the Same more or less which tract of land was her mother's portion of her father West Tynes's Land Bounded as. follows. beginning at the fork of the dam Branch at Arrington Britt's land then along a line of marked trees to a white oak a corner to Solomon Crumpler's & Jordan Spivey's line thence to a sasafras a corner tree to West Tynes and Solomon Crumpler then along a line of marked trees to the Said W. Tynes to a scyamore a corner tree to Arrington Britt line then along [a line] of marked trees to the head of the Said dam branch And the reversion And reversions remainder. And remainders rents issues and profits thereof. And also all the Estate right title interest claim and demand whatsoever of her the Said Mariah Crumpler. and her heirs forever. of in and to the Same or any part thereof To have and to hold the Said land and premises with appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said Thomas Herring his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Maria Crumpler for her part. her heirs &c. doth covenant promise and agree with the Said Thomas Herring his heirs &c. by these presents. that the Said Maria Crumpler the said land and premises every part and parcel thereof unto the Said Thomas Herring his heirs &c. against the lawful claim title and demand of her Said Maria Crumpler her heirs &c. and all and every other person or persons claiming Shall and and Will warrant and forever defend by these [presents] In Witness Whereof I. the Said Maria Crumpler hath hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this day and year first above written Signed Sealed and delivered her In presence of Mariah + Crumpler ¤seal¤ L.R.
