WILLIAMS and Nicholas WILLIAMS, to Solomon BRITT, deed of bargain & sale, 200 acres, 15 Mar 1830 (15 Mar 1830) [margin note] Williams To Britt This Indenture made this 15th day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty Between Burwell Williams Martha Williams the Widow of Kinchen Williams John H. Williams and Nicholas Williams all of the County of Southampton of the one part and Solomon Britt of the same County of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Burwell Williams Martha Williams John H. Williams and Nicholas C. Williams for and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars current money of Virginia to them the said Burwell Williams Martha Williams John H. Williams and Nicholas C. Williams in hand paid by the said Solomon Britt before the ensealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof the Said Burwell Williams Martha Williams John H. Williams and Nicholas C. Williams doth hereby acknowledge. and thereof. and therefrom doth acquit and discharge the said Solomon Britt his heirs &c. by these presents and doth grant bargain and sell unto Solomon Britt. and to his heirs & assigns forever. one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County aforesaid it being the land formerly belonging to Spencer R. Jenkins supposed to be two hundred acres more or less. and bounded as follows. it bounded by the lands of John Urquhart. John Boykin and Black Water. And the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and of every part and parcel thereof and all the estate right title interest property claim And demand whatsoever of them the said Burwell Williams Martha Williams John H. Williams and Nicholas Williams of in or to the Same To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land and whole right title in the said lands with its appurtenances unto the said Solomon Britt [his heirs] and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of Solomon Britt his heirs and assigns forever. and the said Burwell Williams Martha Williams John H. Williams and Nicholas C. Williams for themselves their heirs &c. doth hereby Covenant and grant to the Said Solomon Britt his heirs and assigns that they the Said Burwell Williams Martha Williams John H. Williams and Nicholas C. Williams the above granted premises with the appurtenances unto the said Solomon Britt his heirs & assigns against the lawful claim or demand of them the Said Burwell Williams Martha Williams John H. Williams and Nicholas C. Williams and their heirs &c. against the claim or claims of all or any person or persons. does Shall and will by these presents forever warrant and defend. John DAVIS, as trustee of Thomas POND, conveyed this tract to Kinchen & Burwell WILLIAMS, 21 Apr 1828.
