Joyner. Wifes relinquish= ment. see P. 466. This Indenture made and entered into this twentieth day of September one thousand eight hundred and forty One between William Joyner and Mary his wife of the first part and Polly Joyner of the second part all of the County of Southampton and state of Va. Witnesseth that whereas the sd. William Joyner and Mary his wife doth for and in Consideration of the sum of sixty dollars to them in hand paid by the said Polly Joyner at or before the ensealing and delivery of these pre =sents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged grant bargain and sell unto the said Polly Joyner her heirs and assigns forever One Certain tract or parcel of Land Containing by estimation thirty acres be the same more or less being in the County of Southampton and Nottoway Parish and bounded as follows beginning at a post planted at the edges of the road in William Joyners line thence along a strait line to persimmon tree in said Joyner line and Continuing a strait line to a post planted for a Corner in said William Joyner line and Polley Joyners line thence to a black Oak in said Joyners line thence to a post oak [page break] [p.] 188 thence a line of marked trees to a red oak in said Beatons line a new made Corner tree in William Joyners line and Thomas Beatons line ^ and James Scotts line thence to a pine standing at the edge of the road and the Oberry Church land thence along the road to the first stattion. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land with all its rights and priviledges the said William Joyner and Mary his wife unto the said Polly Joyner her heirs and assigns free from all the Claims do warrant and defend all other rights and titles of them the said William Joyner and Mary his wife.
