Examd. & Delid. to Solo: Crumpler for G.W. Crumpler June 7th 1842 This Indenture made the 7th day of Octr. 1841 between Mills E. Lawrence and Solomon Crumpler of the County of Isle of wight and state of Virginia of the One part and George W. Crumpler of the same County of the other part; Witnesseth that the said Mills E. Lawrence and Solomon Crumpler for and in Consideration of the sum of three hundred and twelve dollars and fifty cents to them in hand paid by the said George W. Crumpler at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell and convey to the said George W. Crumpler his heirs and assigns a certain tract of Land and ground being in the County of Southampton and bounded as follows (to wit) at a Corner tree a white Oak a Corner tree of Robert Adams line on seacock swamp thence along a line of Marked trees to meandering rout to a pine a Corner tree of Robert Adams and Jordan Spiveys line thence along a line of marked trees to a lightwood post a Corner post of Thomas Herring line thence along a line of marked trees to seacock swamp thence up said swamp to the first station, Containing by estimation One hundred and twenty acres be the same more or less it being the same plantation that the said Solomon Crumpler formerly Owned and bounded by the Lands of [page break] [p.] 250 Robert Adams Jordan Spivey Arrington Britt and Thomas Herring we only sell such right as was vested in a deed of trust by the said Solomon Crumpler in a deed of trust to Mills E. Lawrence for the benefit of John B. Lawrence which there is the dower right in said Land owned by Mary Crumpler the wife of Solomon Crumpler at the death of the said Solomon Crumpler together with all the advantages houses and improvements thereon and appurtenances whatsoever. To have and to hold the said Land above described with all the improvements thereon to the only proper use and behoof of the said George W. Crumpler his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Mills E. Lawrence and Solomon Crumpler for themselves their heirs &c. the said Land or parcel of Land with all the appurtenances thereto belonging unto the said Mills E. Lawrence and Solomon Crumpler their heirs and assigns free from the Claim or Claims of them the said Mills E. Lawrence and Solomon Crumpler and of all and every person or persons whatsoever doth hereby warrant and forever defend by these presents. In Witness whereof the said Mills E.
