WILLIAMS to Mely MOUNTFORD Deed of Bargain and Sale [margin notes] MOUNTFORD To [sic] WILLIAMS Exam.d This Indenture Made this Eighteenth day of March in the year one thousand Eight hundred and forty four between "James J. WILLIAMS of the first part and Mely [indexed Mily] MOUNTFORD of the second part Witnesseth that the said James J. WILLIAMS for the inconsideration ["in-" underlined] of the sum of Twenty Eight dollars and fifty seven cents in hand paid to him by the said Mely MOUNTFORD whereof the said James J. WILLIAMS hath granted bargained and sold unto the said Mely MOUNTFORD one certain track or parcel of land and its appurtenances lying and being in the County of Southampton Containing by Estimation Nine acres be the same More or less and bounded by Polly JOYNERs land on the North and BEATONs on the East and the said James J. WILLIAMS hath granted and by these presents doth grant and bargain and sell unto the said Mely MOUNTFORD and to her heirs forever the aforesaid land and its appurtenances and the said James J. WILLIAMS doth warrant and forever defend all wrighs or titles [?] of all person or persons Claiming the same or any part thereof In Witness whereof the said James J.
