JOYNER Deed of Bargain & Sale This Indenture Made and entered into this [blank] of February in the year of our lord christ one thousand eight hundred and fifty, between William HEDGPETH of the County of Southampton and parish of Nottoway of the one part, and William B. JOYNER of the other part; Witnesseth, that the said William HEDGPETH for and in Consideration of the sum of twenty one dollars and fifty Nine cents Current Money to him in hand paid by the said William B. JOYNER the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained, sold and confirmed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell unto the said William B. JOYNER to him and his heirs forever a certain Tract or parcel of Land Containing by estimation six acres three Roods and five pools, be the same More or less, and bounded as follows to wit: Begining at a small pine a corner tree in William HEDGPETH and the Land belonging to the heirs of Elisha WHITFIELD and W.m B. JOYNER lines, thence to a Red oak a New Made Corner tree in William HEDGPETHs line thence along a line of Marked trees in said HEDGPETHs line to a pine in said HEDGPETHs line, thence along said HEDGPETHs line to a pine a corner tree in William HEDGPETHs, John BRADSHAWs and William B. JOYNERs lines to the first begining; together with all houses, edifices &c Whatsoever belonging or in any wise appertaining to the said tract or parcel of land and premises: To have and to hold the Same unto the said William B. JOYNER, to him and his heirs forever, and the said William HEDGPETH do by these presents grant to and with the said William B. JOYNER that he will warrant and forever defend all right, title, claim or demand to the Same or any part thereof; In Witness whereof the said William HEDGPETH has hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal, the day first above written.
