Examined & original del.d Willis BRADSHAW for order of Thos. J. BRISTER This Deed made the 5.th day of September in the year 1850, between Robert RAIFORD of the one part, and Thomas J. BRISTER of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Robert RAIFORD doth grant unto the said Thomas J. BRISTER the following property, to wit: the said RAIFORD's undevised interest in a certain tract of land in the County of Southampton containing about Three hundred and forty acres be the same more or less, it being the tract of Land formerly belonging to Nathan LUTER. Also four negro men named Charles, Jack, Joe & Archer, one negro woman Adaline & child John, 35 head of hogs, 13 Cows, one Yoke of Oxen, 12 Sheep, 1 apple Mill & press, one horse, saddle & bridle, 1 Cart & wheels, the present growing crop of corn, fodder, peas, 3 feather Beds and furniture, 1 Sideboard, 1 Bureau, 1 Clock, 3 tables, 2 chest, 45 cider casks, 3 pots, 2 ploughs, one dozen chairs. In Trust to secure the following debts due & owing by the said Robert RAIFORD: to wit: a debt due Wilborn STEPHENSON for twelve hundred dollars by note executed the 4.th day of September 1850, a debt due William G. STEPHENSON for eight hundred dollars by note executed the 4.th day of September 1850, a debt due Irvin W. DUCK, a debt due A.S.H. BURGESS for thirty nine dollars & thirty five cents due by note, a debt due William RAIFORD, a debt due Polly ELEY, a debt due Clarke & Pope, a debt due Eley JOYNER, one due Thomas & Admas [?], one due James CLAYTON.
