EDWARDS to William R. PARKER, deed of bargain & sale, 7&½a. Millikin place, near Jerusalem, 21 Nov 1854 (11 Dec 1854) This deed made the 21st. day of November in the year 1854, between Littleton R. Edwards of the one part and William R. Parker of the other part, Witnesseth: that in consideration of the sum of One thousand dollars the said Littleton R. Edwards doth grant unto the said William R. Parker a certain piece or parcel of land Situate, lying and being near the Town of Jerusalem in the County of Southampton, containing seven and a half acres more or less, known as the Millikin place and bounded as follows : by the road leading from Jerusalem to Joyner's bridge, on the South, by the lands of F.J. Mahone, on the North and East and by the lands of the estate of James Rochelle on the West ; And the said Littleton R. Edwards hereby covenants with the said William R. Parker that he will warrant generally the property hereby conveyed. Witness the following signatures and seal. Littleton R. Edwards ¤seal¤ Southampton County. In the Clerk's Office the 11th day of March 1854. This Deed of bargain & Sale from Littleton R. Edwards to William R. Parker, was acknowledged by the said Edwards and thereupon admitted to record. Clerk of Court for 48 years - excepting when disallowed during Reconstruction. He is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland.
