BRIGGS to Samuel KELLO, deed of bargain & sale, Jerusalem, 6 Jan 1862 (7 Jan 1863) This deed made this 6th. day of January 1862 between Wm.W. Briggs Commissioner appointed by a Decree of the Circuit Court of So'ampton at [blank*] Term 1856 to sell a certain real estate in the Town of Jerusalem belonging to the estate of F.J. Mahone decd. of the one part & Samuel Kello of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said W.W. Briggs Comm'r: as aforesaid for and in consideration of fifteen hundred dollars to him paid by said Saml. Kello doth grant bargain and Sell, unto the said Saml. Kello all that real estate belonging to said F.J. Mahone lying in the town of Jerusalem as directed to be sold by said decree, the boundaries of said real estate can be ascertained by reference to said decree. There was a decree 20 Aug 1855 in a suit in Chancery Court (Case 1855-017), brought by William W. & Susanna C. (MAHONE) BRIGGS, which lead to the sale of a 16 & 2/3 tract from Commissioner William W. BRIGGS to James HOLT, 1 Jan 1861 (pr'd 18 Feb 1861).
