HARRIS [brackets, line breaks & surname capitalization mine] Southampton Co., VA, Deed Book 32 (1874-1877), p. 680 27 Feb 1877 Everitte RAIFORD to Elizabeth RAIFORD Deed of Bargain & Sale [margin note] Exam'd This Deed made this 27.th day of February in the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy seven between Everitte RAIFORD of the first part, and Elizabeth RAIFORD of the second part; Witnesseth, That, in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred ($500) dollars, the said Everitte RAIFORD doth grant unto the said Elizabeth RAIFORD with general warranty, all of his right, title and interest into [sic] a certain tract or parcel of land, it being the same on which the said Everitte RAIFORD now resides, Containing ninety acres 90 more or less, and bounded as follows: on the north by the Watson BRADSHAW tract of land; on the South by James GOULD's tract; on the east by Seacock Swamp; on the West by Calthorp BRANCH's and Watson BRADSHAW tracts. The said Everitte RAIFORD Covenants that he has the right to convey the said land to the grantee; that he has done no act to encumber the said land; that the grantee shall have quiet possession of the said land, from all encumbrances, and that Everitte RAIFORD of the first part, will execute such further assurances of the said land as may be requisite. Witness the following signature and seal.
