MUNFORD to Everett RAIFORD Deed of Bargain & Sale [p.] 697 [margin notes] Exam'd .50¢ tax This Deed made this 12th day of September 1891 between Moody A. MUNFORD and Susan E. MUNFORD, of Southampton County, Virginia, of the one part, and Everett RAIFORD of the said County and State of the other part, Witnesseth: That for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and 00/100 Dollars the said parties of the first part do grant and hereby convey with general warranty, that tract of land lying in Southampton Co. Va. on Round Hill Swamp Known as the part of the Orrin DOLES Tract, it being all of said tract with the exception of ["the" struck out] thirteen acres previously [sic] sold to Nich. EDWARDS Now containing thirty seven acres more or less and bounded by said Swamp, and the lands of Mills E. RAIFORD, Daniel WARREN and the said Nich EDWARDS. The said parties of the first part covenant that they have a right [DB43:173] to convey the said property to the grantee, that they have done no act to encumber the said land, that the grantee shall have quiet possession of the said [page break] [p.] 698 land free from all encumbrances, and that they the said parties of the first part will execute such further assurances as may be requisite.
