RAIFORD Deeds of Bargain & Sale [margin notes] Examd This Deed made this 19th day of October 1895, between William H. RAIFORD and Ada J. RAIFORD, his wife, of the first part, and Dianna M. RAIFORD and Cumilla E. RAIFORD of the second part. Witnesseth: Whereas, Lemuel RAIFORD deceased, died [underlined], seized and possessed of a certain tract of land in the County of Southampton, containing sixty Nine acres, more or less, and left the following heirs, his children, Dianna, Sarah, Cumilla, Junius, Wilmoth and William H. [Henry] RAIFORD, and that William H. RAIFORD, since his death, purchased the interests of Wilmoth and sarah RAIFORD, as shown by deeds duly recorded in the Clerk's Office, making him a sharer of one half of the estate, Now for and in consideration of the sum Of five dollars in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby ackn- [page break] [p.] 599 owledged, the said parties of the first part have this day bargained and sold, to the parties of the second part, all of there [sic] right title and interest in a certain potion [sic] of the said land, left by the said Lemuel RAIFORD bounded and described as follows: All of the land on the Black Water and Berlin road, lying East of the lane running from the said road to the home of E.J. RAIFORD and susposed [sic] to contain about thirty five acres more or less, together with all the houses and appertenances [underlined] thereto pertaining. Witness the following signatures and seals. [Elexenia] RAIFORD of the first part, and William H. RAIFORD of the second part.
