Everett, Sheriff 1843 This Indenture made this 24th day of October 1843 between Holliday Revell of the one part and William L. Everett, Sheriff of the County of Southampton of the other part. Witnesseth: that whereas the said Holliday Revell being now in the custody of the Sheriff by virtue of an execution sued of the county court of Southampton in favor of Jonathan T. Griffin and being about to discharge himself from custody by taking the oath of insolvency hath delivered in a schedule of his whole estate by which he surrenders all his interest in a piece of land given by the will of Holliday Revell to his father John Revell during his life with remainder to the said John Revell's children living at the time of his death. Now therefore this indenture Witnesseth that the said Holliday Revell in consideration of the premises hath given granted bargained and sold and by the presents doth grant, bargain and sell unto the said William L. Everett, Sheriff as aforesaid the said interest herein before mentioned and described to him the said William L. Everett, Sheriff as aforesaid against the claim of him the said Holliday Revell of all and every person whatsoever. In witness whereof the said Holliday Revell hath hereto set his hand and seal this day and year above written. Signed, Sealed and delivered In presence of: Holliday Revell (Seal) Southampton County in the Clerks office the 21st day of October 1843. This deed of Bargain and Sale from Holliday Revell to William L. Everett, Sheriff was acknowledged by said Revell and admitted to record. Teste L. R.
