Southampton County:  This may certify that Lucy Robertson widow of Hartwell 
Robertson is an inhabitant of this County and that she is exceeding poor having 
neither house nor land of her own.  She has no child by her husband now living 
(?) but has an aged and infirm parant (parent).  Given under our hand this 13 
day of November 1786.  Mark R------?, Ben -------?

I do with the advice of Council certify that Lucy Robertson, widow of Hartwell 
Robertson, who was a private in the 4th Virginia Regiment and who died in the 
service of the United States is allowed the sum tenpounds yearly, commencing on 
the first day of January 1786.  Given under my hand as Governor of the 
Commonwealth of Virginia, at Richmond, this 5th day of December 1786.
