Munford, for a few years a resident of Isle of Wight County, Sunday shot his wife while she was stand ing in the yard at their home in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., and then turned the revolver on himself, causing instant death. Munford and his wife had separated several years ago, but on meeting sometime ago, decided to live together again, but some domestic difficulties came up, and he decided to end it all. (WOMBLE) MUNFORD, was b. 25 Mar 1879, Southampton Co. Crissie Sallie CARR, dt/o Lysander H. & Sarah Ann "Sallie" (BRADSHAW) CARR, was b. 21 Jun 1878, Isle of Wight Co. They were m. 27 Dec 1905, IoW, by I. Walter JOHNSON. (IoW M.Reg. 1905, #131) "Sallie" is out-of-place alphabetically among CARR brides in the BVS Marriage Index, 1900-1911. Their surviving children were raised by Eddie T. BRADSHAW, of IoW Co., and his wife Lillie, Crissie's sister. Crissie is buried at Mt. Carmel Christian Church Cemetery, Walters.
