           A Schooner in Distress. 
      (Special telegram to the Dispatch.) 

  NORFOLK, VA., August 8.- The schooner Lamie Cobb, 
of Machias, Me., is reported drifting off Cape Henry, 
having apparently lost her fore- and main-topmasts 
and flying jibboom. 
  The Norfolk and Western depot at Zuni, in 
Southampton county, was totally destroyed by fire at 
an early hour this morning.
