in Southampton county, were destroyed by fire 
yesterday.  Loss about eight thousand dollars; 
partly insured.

              A Lumber Kiln Burned. 

  RICHMOND, Oct. 30.-[Special]- The drying kilns 
of the Franklin Lumber Company, in Southampton 
county, Va., was destroyed by fire to-day.  The 
loss is about $8,000, partly insured.
