In less than three weeks a sister of Miss Glover also became deranged. A commission being appointed by the court, the two unfortunate ladies were ordered to be removed to an insane asylum. Last night Sheriff Briggs and guard arrived here with them, and will take the steamer Sylvester this morning for Williamsburg. Both of the women were so violent that the sheriff had to tie them fast in their rooms at the Peabody House to secure them against injury. They raved fearfully, and appear to be hopeless maniacs. Their ages are respectively twenty-three and twenty-eight years. Their unfortunate condition and the respectability of the family excites widespread sympathy at their home in Southampton.
