FRANKLIN, VA., May 5. - Special - The Graphic, a weekly three-column newspaper, managed by W.A. Magee, made its first appearance on May 4th. It is a small sheet, but well-gotten up, and contains much that is of local interest. Nothing has been heard of the postoffice robbers. Three suspicious characters were seen the morning at the robbery hurrying towards Suffolk, and it is supposed they took the Norfolk and Western "Cannon Ball" for Norfolk. "The Times" (Richmond, VA), Vol. 15, No. 74, May 6, 1900, p. 5, col. 5 Additional information: "The Graphic" was the forerunner of "The Tidewater News."
