Nicholson, of this county, shipped aboard a merchant vessel bound on a foreign cruise, says the Southampton Democrat. He left behind a father and a little seven-year-old half-brother, who was none other than our townsman, S.R. Nicholson. The last news heard from the sailor boy was several months after he left home - he had been shipwrecked in the Bay of Biscay; his leg was broken and at the time the news was forwarded home he was in a hospital. This was the last heard from him until last Tuesday and he was mourned as dead. Tuesday S.R. Nicholson was surprised to receive a letter from his supposed-dead brother, stating that he was living in Louisiana, and had written here to learn if any of his relatives were still living.
