IVOR GRANTED CHARTER OF INCORPORATION 
     [Special to The Times-Dispatch.] 

  IVOR, VA., October 27.- The village of Ivor has been granted a charter by 
the Circuit Court of this, Southampton county, and orders an electlon of its 
first officers on Tuesday, November 17th.  The incorporation will take in 
about 700 acres.  In mass-meeting last evening the following list was slated 
for the election on the day stated: For Mayor, Dr. B.F. Babb; for Councilmen, 
Mr. F.D. Taylor, Mr. T.A. Saunders, Mr. E.N. Johnson, Mr. T.L. Bain, Mr. B.F. 
Bell and Mr. A.W. Chappelle.
