She was a native of Southampton County. The body was taken to the Purviance Funeral Home in Wakefield. Funeral services will be conducted at the grave in Capron cemetery Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. by Rev. R.H. Marks, assisted by Rev. J.T. Cassell. ****************************************************************************** MISS MARY APPLEWHITE Funeral services for Miss Mary Applewhite, 83, former Capron resident, who died in the Confederate Women's Home in Richmond on Wednesday, January 19, were held at the graveside in the Capron Cemetery on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. R.H. Marks and Rev. J.T. Cassell officiating. Pallbearers were Lewis Babb, Ira Barham, Glenn Ellis, Stuart Jenkins, Frank Marks, Will Story, Emmett Vaughan and Roland Vaughan.
