EUNICE JEANNE HEREFORD ASHBY

   FRANKLIN - A funeral for Jean* Ashby, 70, was held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in 
Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Joseph A. Slane.  Wright Funeral Home was 
in charge.

   Ashby died Sunday in a hospital.

   A native of Summersville, W. Va., she was the widow of John Kenna Ashby.

   Survivors include a daughter, Jeanne* A. Furrh of Franklin, and a sister, 
Jane H. Pfeifer of Sarasota, Fla.

*"Jean" should be spelled Jeanne, as given for her daughter.
