BELOVED PREACHER FALLS DEAD ON THE STREET 
  [Special to The Times-Dispatch.] 

  COURTLAND, VA., October 31.- Rev. B.D. [sic] Austin, preacher in charge of 
Southampton Circuit, Methodist Episcopal Church, fell dead upon the sidewalk 
in this town yesterday at 6:30 o'clock.  He was greatly beloved by his 
parishioners and very popular with the people.  He leaves a widow and three 
children, all grown, one son near Farmville and son and daughter in Norfolk, 
Va. 


Rev. Daniel Bateman AUSTIN, Methodist minister, 
d. 30 Oct 1908, Courtland, age 62,
