Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Donald Trump. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill Kiser, Albert Terry, James Fullagan, John Jackson, Leon Comstock and Bob Thompson. A native of Hertford County, N.C., she lived in this area 30 years. She was the widow of Walter Thomas Acree and a daughter of John and Mrs. Bettie Jane Newsome Bond. She was a member of South Quay Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, W.L. Acree of Chesapeake six daughters, Mrs. Virginia Terry of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Mrs. Thelma Felts of Franklin, Mrs. Eloise Daniel of Seaboard, N.C., Mrs. Annie Darden of Norfolk, Mrs. Betty Cronk of Midland, Mich., and Mrs. Juanita Comstock of Chelsea, Mass., three sisters, Mrs. Maude Bond and Mrs. Irene Wilson of Norfolk, and Mrs. Fannie Anderson of Whitakers, N.C.; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
