A committal service was held at 3 p.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin by Dr. Ira D. Hudgins. W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home was in charge. Pallbearers were Emmett Allen Jr., T.A. Darden Jr., J.J. Finley Jr., Dan Fowler, Herman Eley and Kemper Daughtrey. Mrs. Allen, a native of Franklin, died Sunday in a Richmond hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of J. Shelby Allen and a daughter of Joseph A. and Mrs. Adina Council Fowler. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Richmond. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Adina Allen of Sacramento, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Duck and Mrs. Clyde Eley of Franklin and Mrs. Paul K. Cummins of Washington; and a brother, Broaddus Fowler of Charlottesville. Indianna Virginia (FOWLER; Mrs. J.
