Allmond, Jr., 67, of Cresent Drive, died May 16, in a hospital. Mr. Allmond, a native of Scotland Neck, N.C., was a buyer of Union Camp Corp., Franklin, and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church and the Franklin American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Jane Kiker Allmond; two daughters, Cynthia Paige Edwards of Franklin and Betty Anne Suddaby of Roxboro, N.C.; two sons, W.E. Allmond III of Franklin and G.S. Allmond of Yuma, Ariz.; a sister, Betty Anne Perry of Scotland Neck; and seven grandchildren. The graveside service was conducted Monday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Ben R. Duffey. Wright Funeral Home handled arrangements.
