Boykins, VA - Funeral services for Clarence Boone, who drowned in an accident at
the foot of Water street in Portsmouth, were held Thursday at Mt. Tabor Baptist
Church in Newsoms, VA. Burial was in the church cemetery.

An Army veteran who served in the Korean War, Mr. Boone was living in Portsmouth
at the time of his death. He was engaged to Miss Athella Robinson of Portsmouth.

Mr. Boone is survived by his mother, Mrs. Rosa Boone of Boykins; five sisters,
Mrs. Lucille Kythe, Mrs. Edna Russell and Miss Anna Boone of Boykins, and Mrs.
Mildred Peterson and Mrs. Jennie Gary of Portsmouth; four brothers, William
Boone of Norfolk, Lloyd Boone of California, Lonnie and George Boone of
Portsmouth.
