All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ DEBORAH BERTHA WHITE BABB Mrs. Bertha White Babb, 79, widow of Dr. Benjamin Franklin Babb, died at the home in Ivor of her son, Benjamin Franklin Babb, Jr., on Friday, October 9. The deceased was the daughter of the late Charles Henry and Martha Winslow White of Belvidere, N.C., and a member of the Ivor Methodist Church, in which she served faithfully for many years. She is survived by three sons, Charles W. Babb of Norfolk, and Benjamin F. Babb, Jr., and Shelton W. Babb, both of Ivor; three daughters, Mrs. L.G. Conner of Norfolk, Mrs. L.R. White of Suffolk, and Mrs. G.L. Smith of Richmond; 11 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Walston of Hickory and Mrs. Mary Newby Bradshaw of Raleigh, N.C. Final rites for Mrs. Babb were conducted from the Ivor Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock by Rev. J.M. Bland of Wakefield, pastor of the church, and Rev. J.S. Orrell, pastor of the Ivor Baptist Church. Interment was in the Ivor Cemetery, active pallbearers being Dr. E.M. Babb, L.H. Babb, John Bradshaw, William Bradshaw, Charles E. Neaves, Durant Walston, William H. Walston and Walton White. Deborah Bertha (WHITE; Mrs. Benjamin F.
