ROBERT BERKLEY BABB 

  Robert Berkley Babb, aged 42*, died at a local hospital yesterday morning at 
2:55 o'clock after a long illness.  He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Mary 
T. Denson and Mrs. Rosa J. Morris, both of Norfolk, and Mrs. G.W. Brittingham 
of Courtland, and several nieces and nephews.  Mr. Babb was a native of 
Southampton County and had been a resident of Norfolk for 25 years.  The body 
will be taken from Hollomon-Brown funeral Home to Courtland Baptist Church for 
funeral services tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Burial will be in the 
family cemetery.*

   Apparently unmarked, she has also been added to the listing for the plot, 
   although her obit ("Virginian-Pilot," Dec. 4, 1929) also gives the same

D.Cert. 29897 (Kempsville #307) gives single, age "about 42" 

The 1900 Census gives b. Apr 1898.  (Jerusalem Dist. {#62}, Southampton Co.) 
   The 1910 Census gives age 11.  (Jerusalem Dist. {#121}, Southampton Co.)
