All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ MARTHA GERTRUDE MORRIS BABB Mrs. Martha Gertrude Morris Babb, 70, well-known resident of the Sebrell community, died at her home Monday night February 20, after a lingering illness of several months. She was the wife of Mack Babb of Sebrell and the daughter of late Louis and Selecia Taylor Morris, of Greensville County, and a member of the Sebrell Methodist Church. In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Morris of Waverly and Mrs. Eunice Vaughan and Mrs. Virgie B. Jenkins of Petersburg; two sons, Robert Lee Babb, of Jarratt and Louis F. Babb of Sebrell; 27 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Wells of Richmond and Mrs. Georgie Babb of Petersburg; one brother, Lefferidge Morris of Petersburg and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held from the W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Chapel of Thursday at 2 p.m. with Rev. C.A. McCormick, pastor of the Courtland Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland. Active pallbearers will be Mrs. Babb's grandsons, M.F. Babb, J.M. Morris, J.E. Morris, C.W. Jenkins, D.G. Vaughan and D.B. Faison.
