A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Frances Porter Babb, and son of Mrs. Irma Barnes Babb, and the late Emmet F. Babb. He was a member of Courtland United Methodist Church. Also surviving are two sons, James Porter Babb and H.F. Babb, Jr., both of Courtland; four sisters; two brothers; and a grandchild. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2:30 P.M. in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland by Rev. C.B. King. W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home, Franklin in charge. Memorials may be made to the Courtland Methodist Church Building Fund or the Heart Fund.
