Babb*, died in a Richmond hospital early Monday morning, October 23, after a long illness. The deceased was the daughter of the late Orris and Jane Owens Brantley of this county. She was educated at the Westtown, Pa., Friends School, and was a member of the Corinth Friends Meeting. Surviving her are three daughters, Mrs. George T. Partridge, Sr., of Richmond, Mrs. Ray Hines of Suffolk, and Mrs. Edgar Wood of Petersburg; two sons, Livingston H. Babb and Dr. E. Macaulay Babb of Ivor; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Corinth Friends Meetinghouse by Rev. D. The casket was covered by a pall of red roses, baby’s breath and Easter lilies. There were many beautiful floral designs attesting the esteem in which Mrs. Babb was held.
