All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ McARTHUR BABB McArthur Babb, 45, a farmer of the Sebrell community, died in a Richmond hospital on Saturday morning, August 1, at 11:30 o'clock after an illness of several months' duration. A member of the Sebrell Methodist Church, he was a son of the Prince McMillard and Mrs. Gertrude Morris Babb of Southampton County. Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Robert Lee Babb of Jarratt and Louis Foster Babb of Sebrell; and three sisters, Mrs. B.F. Morris of Waverly and Mrs. R.T. Jenkins and Mrs. T.M. Vaughan, both of Petersburg. Funeral services for Mr. Babb were conducted in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock Rev. Otis L. Gilliam, pastor of the Sebrell Methodist Church. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland. Pallbearers were Junius Babb, Oscar Babb, Winfield Babb, Everett Jarratt, Thomas Jenkins and Mack Morris.
