AVIE RILLA JOYNER BOBBITT

   Mrs. Avie Rilla Bobbitt, wife of W.P. Bobbitt, died at her home in this 
community Friday, December 2, in her fifty sixth year.  She was a good wife 
and mother, a kind and considerate neighbor and a consistent Christian.  She 
is survived by her husband and by four daughters, Mrs. Duffy, Mrs. Pearl Byrd 
and Miss Maude Bobbitt of Franklin and Mrs. Mattie Russell of Norfolk.  The 
funeral services were conducted from her late residence Sunday, December 4, at 
2:30 p.m., by Dr. C.H. Rowland, assisted by Rev. J.A. Chapman.
