ELIZABETH BEACH Mrs. Elizabeth Rebecca Griffith Beach, 76, widow of Henry Hassell Beach, a native of Cumberland, Md., and a resident of Norfolk for the past five years, died Saturday morning, April 21, at the home in Norfolk of her daughter, Mrs. Calvin Edwards, after several months of illness. She was a member of Epworth Methodist Church, Norfolk. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Calvin Edwards of Norfolk; one son, Harry Beach of Philadelphia, Pa.; and a number of grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the graveside in Poplar Spring Cemetery on Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock by Rev. Elmer N. Hassell, pastor of High Street Methodist Church. The pallbearers were C.C. Blythe, Jr., Irvin Blythe, R. Van Carpenter, Clyde Edwards, E.W. Holt and V.C. Lankford, Jr. Mrs. Beach and her husband lived in Franklin for several years, Mr. Beach having a shoe repair shop on E. First Avenue. Elizabeth Rebecca (GRIFFITH; Mrs. Henry H.)
