LUCY POPE BAUGHAM

   COURTLAND - Mrs. Lucy Pope Baugham, 80, long time resident of Southampton 
County, died Wednesday at the Hermitage, Virginia Methodist Home for the 
Aging.  She had been living there 1 ½ years.

   She was the widow of Charles Robert Baugham of Courtland and a member of 
the Courtland Methodist Church.

   Survivors are two brothers, C.W. Pope of Kenner, La., and John H. Pope of 
Hopewell; a number of nieces and nephews, including James H. Pope of Courtland.

   Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Courtland 
Methodist Church by the pastor, the Rev. C.W Gibson, Jr.  Burial will be in 
Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins.

   The body will lie in state at the church Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
