Boykin, 73, a retired farmer of the Berlin community, died Tuesday morning at the home of Mrs. Bessie Hines following a short illness. He was the son of the late John W.* and Martha Spivey Boykin, of this county. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Grace Cornwell of Berlin and Mrs. Chesley Burton of Suffolk; four nephews, Robert Hines of Dendron, Mansfield Hines of Danville, Clarence Hines of Norfolk and Victor Hines of Huntington, W.Va. Services were conducted Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the grave in the family plot near Berlin by his pastor, the Rev. Geo. Kissinger, III of Ivor. Pallbearers were Herman Wade, Bagby Cornwell, Herbert Kitchen, Marion Raiford, Elmo Hines, J.P. Raiford, William Ward and Roy Cornwell. William H.
