He was the husband of Mrs. Frances Sammons Boothe and a son of the late John Henry and Mrs. Mary Doyle Boothe of Southampton County. He was a member of Courtland Baptist Church. Mr. Boothe was an employee of Cobb Motor Co., formerly the Reese Motor Co., for several years. Surviving, besides his wife, are one brother, Clifton Henry Boothe of Portsmouth, and one niece, Miss Deloris Boothe of Portsmouth. A funeral service was conducted Sunday at the Holland Funeral Home, Franklin at 4 p.m. by the Rev. Robert Lee Baily, pastor of Courtland Baptist Church, and the Rev. C.W. Gibson, Jr., pastor of Courtland Methodist Church. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. Pallbearers were Gordon Cobb, Monroe Joyner, Aggie Joyner, Dr. E.F. Reese, III, Hatcher Story, Edward Harris, William Davis and Dr. Frank Daughtrey.
