All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ROBERT FRANCIS BOYETTE Robert Francis Boyette, 66, well-known and prominent farmer of the Statesville community, died at his home early this (Thursday) morning after suffering ill health for many months. Mr. Boyette was the husband of Mrs. Virgie Edwards Boyette of Statesville and the son of the late Robert Riddick and Mrs. Sarah Katherine Parker Boyette of Nansemond County. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Holy Neck Congregational Christian Church. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Katherine B. Cobb, and one grandchild, Miss Kay Cobb, of Newsoms; one niece and one nephew. The body was taken to the W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home and on Friday will be taken to the Newsoms Cemetery for graveside services at 2:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. O.L. Gochenour, pastor of the Newsoms Baptist Church. Active pallbearers will be Roswell Hart, Gordon Brett, Harry Barrett, Lee L. Thorpe, Ralph Barrett, C.R. Everett, V.D.
