VIRGIE EDWARDS BOYETTE 

   NEWSOMS - A funeral service for Mrs. Virgie Edwards Boyette was conducted 
Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in McDowell Funeral Home, Boykins, by the Rev. Harry 
Bunch. Burial was in Newsoms Cemetery. 

   Pallbearers were Ralph Barrett, George Evans, Joseph Everett, Marshall Vick, 
Jack Trew, Ned Evans, W.H. Snead, and Harry Barrett Jr. 

   Mrs. Boyette, 76, died Thursday evening in her home. 

   A native of Hertford County, N.C., she was a daughter of Richard and Mrs. 
Mary Stringfield Edwards and the widow of Robert Francis Boyette. 

   She was a member of Barnes United Methodist Church and Newsoms Woman’s 
Christian Temperance Union. 

   She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Cobb of Newsoms; and a 
granddaughter, Mrs. Kay Grizzard of Richmond.
